At AWIA, we are dedicated to advocating for policies and initiatives that champion gender equality and women’s rights in agriculture. We forge partnerships with local and global organisations to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for women engaged in agribusiness.
For instance, in 2023, together with AWARFA-N we presented a position paper on Biosecurity to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA). This paper complements efforts aimed at controlling disease spread on farms and establishing biosecurity measures to safeguard both the livestock sub-sector and human health in Ghana.
